Cassandra Helentjaris will be named the 2026-27 High School Fall & Winter Cheerleading Coach pending BOE approval at the May meeting. Cassandra, which many people remember as KC Heinl, is a graduate of Coldwater High School in which she was a cheerleader under former coaches Jackie Homan & Angie Lefeld. KC also served as the Junior High Cheer coach at Coldwater several years ago. She currently serves as an Adjuct Professor at Wright State University Lake Campus and works from home. Coach Helentjaris resides in Coldwater with her husband, Tyler, and their 4 children Vivian, Lia, Logan, and Urban. Cassandra's father, Mark Heinl, was a long time bus driver for Coldwater Schools and Mercer County Sherriff. Look for clinic and tryout information coming very soon to the High School Cheerleaders.
