In 2007, the OHSAA started giving out Student/Athlete Scholarships to member school Seniors through each district. In the years since, Coldwater has been very fortunate and successful in earning several of these scholarships. In order to receive these scholarships, you have to have an overall GPA of 3.25 or above and earn at least 4 varsity letters. It is then based on both team accomplishments and individual accomplishments to determine the winners. There are 162 total schools in the NW District and each school can nominate 2 athletes (1 boy and 1 girl).

Here is a list of the winners from Coldwater over the years:
2025 - Olivia Broering & Cody Depweg (out of 40 total winners)
2024 - Becca Wenning & Drew Eyink (out of 40 total winners)
2023 - Justin Kaup (out of 30 total winners)
2020-2022 - No awards given due to Covid limiting the OHSAA funds
2019 - Jacob Wenning (out of 30 total winners)
2018 - Sam Broering (out of 30 total winners)
2017 - Paige Hartings (out of 30 total winners)
2016 - Jack Hemmelgarn (out of 7 total winners)
2015 - Lauren Seas & Jon Wenning (out of 9 total winners)
2014 - We did not have any (out of 9 total winners)
2013 - Jill Kanney & Caleb Siefring (out of 10 total winners)
2012 - Mark Brunet (out of 10 total winners)
2011 - Reese Klenke (out of 10 total winners)
2010 - We did not have any (out of 10 total winners)
2009 - Mario de la Rosa, Tony Harlamert, Zach Siefring (out of 10 total winners)
2008 - No awards given (no record on OHSAA website)
2007 - Sam Slavik (out of 10 total winners

So as an example using 2009. There are 162 schools that can nominate up to 324 total student/athletes. Out of these 324 student/athletes, there were 10 total winners selected. Coldwater finished with 3 of them.
